Lottery players across the country can tune in live at 11 p.m. to watch if their six numbers will be drawn.
At an estimated $1.15 billion as of Friday morning, the cash value of the jackpot is $516.1 million. If won, this will be the fifth-largest jackpot in Mega Millions history.
While there’s no broadcast partner in Massachusetts, anyone interested can watch the drawing online live through the game’s YouTube channel. They can also wait for the drawn numbers to appear on the Mega Millions website.
There have been no jackpot winners since September, when a single ticket sold in Texas won the $810 million prize. The Mega Millions jackpot has only been hit three times in 2024, the fewest won in any single year since the game began, according to Mega Millions.
In the Mega Millions drawing on Friday, Dec. 13, someone in Massachusetts matched the first five numbers drawn to win $1 million. The winning ticket was sold at Ghafour Fuel in Norwood.
Tickets to play cost $2 each, and players pick five numbers between 1-70 and one number between 1-25. Overall odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in more than 302 million.
