Solana’s price outlook remains under selling pressure after a sharp 18.17% weekly decline, closing below the critical 200-day EMA support at $196. The downturn triggered liquidations totaling $38.86 million, with $33.57 million from long positions alone, signaling heightened bearish activity. On-chain data from DeFiLlama also reveals a significant 7% drop in Total Value Locked (TVL), from $11.22 billion to $10.35 billion, mirroring similar declines seen in August and October that preceded double-digit corrections.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) on the daily chart reads 35, below its neutral 50, indicating strong bearish momentum. SOL trades below $194 as of Friday, with resistance levels at $201.85 and $230, while support lies at $174.85. If the $201.85 resistance holds, analysts predict a further 10% decline. However, a recovery above this level could propel SOL to retest $230, offering potential respite for cautious investors.
Today, Solana is trading at $184.01; recording an 11.27% in the past 24 hours.
Cardano (ADA) has seen significant fluctuations in its value, currently trading at $0.8543, reflecting an 11.33% drop in the past 24 hours. Over the past week, ADA has lost around 27% of its value, further fueling concerns among investors. Despite briefly surpassing the $1.33 mark last month, ADA has struggled to maintain momentum, entering a steep downward trajectory. Technical analysis reveals an “inverted head and shoulders” pattern forming on the daily and four-hour charts, suggesting a potential 45% drop to the $0.50 range if the asset falls below the neckline. However, analysts like Taki remain optimistic, pointing to key Fibonacci levels and support at $0.824 as potential signals for a bullish resurgence in 2025. Despite these concerns, ADA’s historical trends and strong development efforts suggest significant potential for growth, with some analysts forecasting future price surges to the $5–$30 range and beyond.
Solana  (SOL) and Cardano (ADA) are crushing with the rest of the crypto market. BlockBoost ($BBT), maintaining its presale momentum indicates it could be a trend survivor and the best altcoin to buy now. Take advantage of the limited presale to buy $BBT at the cheapest price for maximum ROI.

KSL Movie Show review: ‘Nosferatu’ is unintentionally the comedy of the year – KSL NewsRadio

ARTS + ENTERTAINMENT
Dec 24, 2024, 5:00 PM

BY STEVE SALLES
Host, KSL Movie Show
SALT LAKE CITY — I am not to be trusted on this review, mainly because I consider Nosferatu to be the unintended comedy of the year.  I couldn’t stop chuckling at nearly every turn.
The old English dialog was pretentious and overly earnest.  “I pray thee!” Nope. The creature, Count Orlok (Bill Skarsgård) was wheezing like the hosed-up attorney from the Hudsucker Proxy.  When he did talk, he sounded like Count Chocula trying to do a Romanian James Earl Jones voice, only very, very slowly.  Luring a poor real estate agent Thomas (Nicholas Hoult) from Germany to the Count’s Carpathian Alps castle, Thomas is greeted by the stereotypical Romani gypsies who steal his horse, forcing him to hike the last few miles up to the castle, only to be scolded by the Count for arriving late, even though it was the Count himself who picked him up in the creepy carriage down the hill.
Eager to have the Count sign the paperwork for a new German fixer-upper and get the heck out of there, Thomas forgets to read the ancient fine print, inadvertently co-signing away his spooky, lovely bride, Helen (Lily-Rose Depp), instead of the new digs.  The Count even chortles like he just conned some kid into buying an exploding Yugo.
The creepiest thing about this horror-less movie was the Count’s dining manners. He slurps up blood like a bulldog lapping up a fresh bowl of water while moaning disturbingly in the process.  Pretty gross!  Plus he did drain a couple of innocent, cute kids.  Not cool!
However, to his credit, filmmaker Robert Eggers does a nice job with the set pieces and setting a mood within them.  He also throws his lucky rabbit’s foot Willem Dafoe a bone allowing him to play an occult expert who is always one step behind his nemesis.  And hats off to Lily-Rose for looking especially gaunt and haunted for a potential visit from The Master Slurper.  Geez.
I’m fairly certain this is nothing like what you were expecting to hear.  I’m also certain your experiences with Nosferatu will very greatly from mine.  Sorry, it just wasn’t working for me the way the filmmakers wanted it to play out, although admittedly I was entertained.
NOSFERATU (B) Rated R for bloody violent content, graphic nudity and some sexual content.

College Football Playoffs: Why fans were praising Texas vs Clemson – Austin American-Statesman

In the first year of the 12-team expanded College Football Playoff, eight teams played in what was called the “first round.”
Of the four games, one was not met with the same ire as the other three and it was Texas’ 38-24 win over Clemson at home in Austin.
Clemson took a 7-0 lead on the opening drive and Texas responded to tie it at the end of the first quarter. While Texas was in the driver’s seat for most of the game, Clemson opened the fourth quarter with a touchdown drive to make it 31-24.
The Tigers had a chance to cut the deficit to a touchdown later in the fourth on a three-minute drive but the Texas defense stuffed Clemson running back Keith Adams Jr. at the Texas 2-line.
The win sends the Longhorns to Atlanta for the Peach Bowl on New Year’s Day where they play Big 12 champion Arizona State.
Notre Dame beat Indiana 27-17 Friday night. Saturday morning Penn State beat SMU 38-10 and Ohio State beat Tennesee 42-17. SMU’s head coach Rhett Lashlee and Tennessee’s head coach Josh Heupel both expressed disappointment in their teams not performing well on the CFP stage.
While the CFP system is imperfect, selecting certain teams over “more deserving ones” brought a fair share of controversy. Fans took to social media to explain their disappointment in the early games while praising Texas.

Best friends overcome challenges of life, united by a bond and love of ASU football – FOX 10 News Phoenix

Share
Matt Miller and Bennett Black share a friendship that goes back to their childhood days and has endured despite a traumatic brain injury to Bennett through their love of ASU football. FOX 10’s Steve Nielsen has the story.
Two best friends who went down completely different paths continue to build a friendship through their shared love of Arizona State football.
One was a budding star receiver at ASU. The other, a teenager fighting for his life in the hospital.
Before Matt Miller was catching TD's for ASU in the early 2000's, he was a four-year-old getting bullied in preschool.
"I was born with a cleft palate had a lot of surgeries. I had to wear a swimming cap and ear plugs," says Miller.
Sitting next to him is his best friend, Bennett Black.
Bennett always had Matt's back and the next-door neighbors became best friends.

"Bennett would always stick up for me back then. We kind of became close," said Miller.
They were just typical boys causing mischief.
"Oh you can't forget those kinds of memories! I think one year we took the neighbor's Christmas bulbs, unscrewed them and broke them in his driveway… accidentally!" said Black.
Fox 10 has told you before what happened next: 14-year-old Bennett was crossing the street when he was hit by a car going 45-miles-per-hour.
FOX 10 Photojournalist Brad Gass spoke to Cindy and her husband about the risks they took to help their son
"I flew up on his hood, dented it in and shattered his window. I rammed my head into the top of his windshield frame," said Black.
It took him a year to start healing from a traumatic brain injury and 3rd degree burns all over his body. Recovery became a lifelong challenge.
"We spent every day together. We grew up in Superman capes running around the backyard and then my best friend is lying there in the hospital, can't move and all sorts of wires tapped into his head. It's scary," said Miller.
After that, Matt and Bennett's lives went down different paths but the friendship remained.
"I love Bennett. Best man at my wedding. Yes, I value our friendship so much," said Miller.

Bennett used to defend Matt, but as Matt moved on to ASU football, that role changed.
"I made sure he always could do the things he wanted to even though he had his brain injury. It wasn't fair people were treating him differently," Miller said.
Matt always set aside a ticket for Bennett, a joy for him to look forward to.
The years after the injury were challenging. Depression led to anger, but then something changed.
"Once I reached acceptance was when I was able to really, really, really begin to recover from my accident," Bennett said.
A powerful approach that taught Matt a lot too.
"I got really depressed after my senior year. I tore my ACL at my NFL Pro Day. I was supposed to go in the 4th round and I couldn't accept the fact I had to hang up the cleats, but I'd come over here and Bennett would make me feel better. Acceptance took me a while to figure that out," Miller said.
Now, as the two enjoy the current ASU football season together and a College Football Playoff appearance, they're reflecting on the friendship they've formed.
One that's never been shaken despite the challenges they've both faced.
"Bennett taught me no matter what you go through, you can get through it. It will make you stronger in the end," Miller said.
"I've learned so much. I've grown so much stronger and I've seen now it wasn't God trying to hurt me but make me who I needed to be," said Black.
Matt says if the Christmas magic hits ASU and the team makes it to the National Championship Game, he and Bennett will go to the game together, cheering on the team they love as best friends.

King Charles III is set to focus on healthcare workers in his traditional Christmas message – ABC News

King Charles III is expected to use his annual Christmas message to highlight health workers, at the end of a year in which both he and the Princess of Wales were diagnosed with cancer
LONDON — LONDON (AP) — King Charles III is expected to use his annual Christmas message to highlight health workers, at the end of a year in which both he and the Princess of Wales were diagnosed with cancer.
His King's Speech, which will be broadcast in the afternoon on Christmas Day, was recorded at Fitzrovia Chapel in London, which was part of the now-demolished Middlesex Hospital where his first wife, Diana, opened London’s first dedicated ward for those with AIDS. The building is richly decorated in a Gothic Revival style featuring more than 500 stars in a gold leaf ceiling.
“I assume that this space, being one of calm reflection, but also thinking about health, about care, about the medical profession, would make it a pretty apt choice,” said Carla Whalen, chair of the Fitzrovia Chapel Foundation’s board of trustees.
The broadcast is watched by millions of people in the United Kingdom and across the Commonwealth.
In keeping with the King’s desire to go into the community, he tasked the team organizing the broadcast with finding a site away from the royal estate. It's a rare occasion when the monarch's Christmas message is not recorded from one of the royal residences, notably Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle. The last time his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, recorded her message outside the royal estate was in 2006.
The criteria were clear: the building had to have health connections, a strong community presence and a place of solace and reflection for those with faith or none.
This is the king’s third Christmas speech since he ascended the throne after the queen died in September 2022. It is the first since he was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer in February.
His treatment forced him to step away from public appearances for two months. The 76-year-old monarch has slowly returned to public life in recent months and was in good spirits on a tour of Australia with his wife, Queen Camilla, in October.
It's been a difficult year for the royal family. A few weeks after Charles began treatment, the Princess of Wales announced her own cancer diagnosis, which sidelined her for much of the year as she underwent chemotherapy.
In a voiceover for the broadcast of her annual Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey, which was recorded this month but broadcast on Tuesday evening, Kate reflected on the love and support that she has received.
“The Christmas story encourages us to consider the experiences and feelings of others," she said. “It also reflects our own vulnerabilities and reminds us of the importance of giving and receiving empathy, as well as just how much we need each other in spite of our differences."
Meanwhile, Camilla has had a lingering chest infection in recent weeks and hasn’t been able to attend certain events, including last month’s remembrance service for fallen service personnel.
The royal family, including Prince William and Kate and their three children, will be spending Christmas Day at the Sandringham Estate in eastern England.
Charles' brother Prince Andrew is not expected to be there, according to U.K. media, in a bid to spare the royal family from further embarrassment following the revelation that a suspected Chinese spy with business ties to the Duke of York was barred from the U.K. because of concerns he poses a threat to national security.

Online library drops its legal battle to provide free e-books without publishers' permission – NewsCenterMaine.com WCSH-WLBZ

NEW YORK — A prolonged and closely watched copyright case involving an online library’s unauthorized offering of free e-books has ended after the defendant, Internet Archive, decided not to challenge an appeal’s court’s ruling against it.
In September, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit upheld a Manhattan federal court’s decision that found the Archive in violation of copyright law and granted a permanent injunction. The Archive had until this week to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, but declined to do so.
In 2020, four major publishers — Hachette Book Group, HarperCollins Publishers, John Wiley & Sons and Penguin Random House — sued the Archive, alleging that it had illegally provided free copies of more than 100 books, including fiction by Toni Morrison and J.D. Salinger. The Archive had contended that its program of scanning and sharing books, “controlled digital lending,” was protected by fair use law.
“After five years of litigation, we are thrilled to see this important case rest with the decisive opinion of the Second Circuit, which leaves no room for arguments that ‘controlled digital lending’ is anything more than infringement,” Maria A. Pallante, president and CEO of the Association of American Publishers, said in a statement.
The Archive’s director of library services, Chris Freeland, posted a brief statement on the Archive’s web site saying that “While we are deeply disappointed with the Second Circuit’s opinion,” they would “continue to honor” an agreement to “remove books from lending at their member publishers’ requests.”
