Judge Jason B. Thompson recently announced the return of winter sessions of The People’s Law School to Fayette County, which start in January.
The course will cover legal topics such as wills, estates, trusts, guardianships, scams against seniors, and accountability courts.
“This is a perfect introductory course for any adult or high school student interested in criminal justice and the judicial system,” said Judge Thompson.
“One of my goals as a judge is to educate the community on what we do at the courthouse. I have partnered with many incredible speakers to cover a wide range of topics for The People’s Law School. We intend to produce a fun, educational series for the Fayette County community,” he added.
Registration is free for the series. To register, contact Fayette Senior Services at 770-461-0813.
Winter 2025 sessions will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Jan. 14, Feb. 11, March 4, and April 8 at FSS’s Fayetteville location at 4 Center Drive.
