Despite our presence in different places, and despite the difference perhaps in our churches and denominations, there is a unity that brings us together and a love that unites us,” says Fouzi. Of course the importance of unity is very significant.”

He cites how Jesus describes how everyone will know the disciples: because they have love for one another. This is the condition that the Lord Christ gave,” said Fouzi. “How will people know that we are his disciples? When we love each other. The matter is simple.”

The Sixth World Conference on Faith and Order was an expression of such a love, he continues.

Surely the conference here, and the relationships that unite us with all the churches, say that we truly have real love between us as churches even if we differ in ideas and in some matters that we might consider secondary matters,” he says.
Organized by the WCC’s Commission on Faith and Order, the 6th World Conference on Faith and Order took place from 24 to 28 October 2025 at the Logos Papal Center of the Coptic Orthodox Church, close to the St Bishoy Monastery at Wadi El Natrun, southwest of Alexandria, Egypt.
