All Oak Ridge area ladies are invited to attend a “Unique History and His Story Luncheon,” which will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, which is at 215 S. Illinois Avenue in Oak Ridge.
Come and learn some of the interesting things about the unique heritage of Oak Ridge and the Manhatten Project, as it is presented by D. Ray Smith, city historian and retired Y-12 historian. Following his informative talk will be a panel of several local ladies who will share some of their experiences, as they are being interviewed by Stonecroft representative Pam Wilson. With her wit, fun, and knowledge, it is bound to be an enjoyable experience.
The DoubleTree serves a buffet luncheon, and the cost of the entire program, including tax and tip is still only $20. Make plans to attend and invite a guest. Make your reservations by noon Friday, Nov. 7, by calling Debbie at 865-323-3973 or Roena at 865-806-1071.
Free preschool childcare is available with reservations. Please remember that reservations must be honored. This program is presented by the local Oak Ridge Christian Women’s Connection, which is affiliated with Stonecroft Ministries, and is nondenominational.
