Rubio Signs Batterson’s Picture Book
Sarah Rubio, publishing director for children’s titles at Multnomah, reached a two-book deal via Esther Fedorkevich at the Fedd Agency for Mark Batterson’s picture book The Miracle in the Mirror, written with his daughter Summer Batterson Dailey. Scheduled for fall 2027, the book encourages children ages 3-7 to understand they are God’s miraculous creations, the publisher said. The second title is TBD. Batterson is lead pastor at National Community Church in Washington, D.C.
IVP Takes Guide to Artfully Navigating the Digital Age
Zachary Gordon, associate academic editor at InterVarsity Press, acquired world rights to Mere Iconography: Twelve Principles of Christian Visual Wisdom in the Digital Age by Matthew J. Milliner, professor of art history at Wheaton College. Milliner shows readers how, in a world of visual overload, to draw on art history and Christian wisdom across traditions to help navigate our digital age, according to the publisher. Keely Boeving of WordServe Literary negotiated the deal. The book is scheduled for 2027.
Tyndale Acquires Lowe’s Upcoming Novels
Tyndale House associate publisher Stephanie Broene bought world and audio rights to Firefly Season by award-winning fiction author T.I. Lowe in a three-book deal brokered by Danielle Egan-Miller of Browne & Miller Literary Associates. Set in the mountains of North Carolina, friends must confront the heartbreak and hope after their best friend is killed in a tragic accident. Firefly Season will release in 2027, with subsequent novels to follow at undisclosed dates.
Pope Francis’s Wisdom Goes to Loyola
Executive editor Gary Jansen at Loyola Press has acquired world rights to Our Treasures Within, an inspirational picture book of Pope Francis's words and wisdom for all ages. The book is a collaboration between the author-illustrator Peter H. Reynolds and his twin brother, author Paul A. Reynolds. Publication is slated for January 2026, and Holly McGhee at Pippin Properties brokered the deal.
