Another game, another historic performance for 49ers star running back Christian McCaffrey
In San Francisco’s memorable 26-23 overtime victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night at SoFi Stadium, the 29-year-old etched his name into the franchise record book—and it wasn’t due to his rushing abilities.
McCaffrey registered his third consecutive game with 80-plus receiving yards, making him the first 49ers running back to do so in a single season, per the 49ers’ game notes.

Against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3, McCaffrey recorded 88 receiving yards. In Week 5’s loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, McCaffrey tallied 92 receiving yards, while on Thursday night against the Rams, he finished with 82 receiving yards.
