“One another” — I have been captivated by how many times one encounters these words, “one another”, in the Bible, usually with a verb attached before them (no English lesson intended) — “love one another”, “pray for one another”, “forgive one another”, — these are a few of the “one another” statements in God’s Word.
In the Bible, this concern for others begins in Genesis and goes through Revelation. Here are a few —“lend them whatever they need” (Deut. 15:7-8), “Rescue the weak and needy” (Psalm 82:2-4), “Share your food with the hungry” (Isaiah 58:6-7), and the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:37-40, “Whatever you did for the least of these you did to Me.” There are many other passages on how to treat one another. Comment here…. These would really help us today in our torn-apart world.
