Twenty-four more Christians — two of whom were pastors — have been slain in the ongoing onslaught against believers in Nigeria.
Christian Daily International-Morning Star News reports that Muslim Fulani herdsmen killed Yahaya Kambasaya on Oct. 28 in Nigeria’s Kaduna state. A source from Kambasaya’s United Church of Christ in Nigeria congregation, where Kambasaya was pastor, said 20 other church members were kidnapped when the assailants raided Farin Dutse village.

Then, between Oct. 31 and Nov. 3, assailants described as “bandits and terrorist elements” killed nine Christians in Plateau state, a Christian attorney informed the news outlet. Wereng and Kwi were villages targeted in that attack.
In a Nov. 6 raid in Plateau state, Fulani herdsmen killed two Christians in Rachi village, sources said.
In Benue state Nov. 3–4, Fulani herdsmen attacked Anwule Oglewu village, killing Simon Nbach, pastor of Flaming Fire Ministry, and at least nine other Christians. Residents also said one individual was abducted.
On Nov. 6, Fulani herdsmen invaded Sarkin Noma village in Nasarawa state, slaying two Christians and kidnapping one, a resident told Christian Daily-Morning Star.
Nigeria is No. 7 on Open Doors’ 2025 World Watch List of the 50 places most difficult to be a Christian. Nigeria has led the world in the number of Christians killed for their faith or kidnapped.
Uganda’s constitution and laws allow for freedom of religion, including converting from one faith to another, but December was a deadly month for Christians there.
