Brexton Busch isn’t just following in his dad’s footsteps—he’s tearing up the track and making a name for himself at lightning speed. The nine-year-old racing prodigy is proving that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, as he carves out his own place in motorsport history. His 2024 season left fans stunned, with stats and achievements that have seasoned racers and fans alike buzzing about his future.
At such a young age, Brexton is already showcasing talent and determination that’s almost unheard of. And while it’s tempting to credit genetics—after all, his dad is two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch—there’s clearly something special about this kid.
Brexton’s numbers from this past year speak for themselves. Competing in 134 feature races, he notched up 48 wins. That’s right, nearly 50 trophies in one season! Add to that 107 top-five finishes and 126 top-tens, and it’s no wonder fans and critics are taking notice.

The young driver didn’t just collect impressive stats—he snagged some big titles too:
It’s hard not to compare Brexton’s meteoric rise to Kyle’s early career, and even harder to ignore how much pride his father takes in watching him race. Kyle himself summed it up best: “Proud is an understatement. Big things happened in 2024, but ready for more in 25! Can start right next week in Tulsa!!”

Kyle has been a constant presence, not just as a father but also as a mentor. He’s often seen trackside, giving Brexton advice and cheering him on. Their bond is undeniable, and it’s clear that Kyle’s experience and guidance have played a key role in Brexton’s success.
“Yeah, with Brexton being a gracious loser a little bit. He’s not. I’m trying, I’m still trying. He’s not a gracious loser. None of us are. But he’s doing a way better job at it than I did at his age, that’s for sure,” Kyle said, reflecting on how he’s working to shape his son into not just a great racer, but also a great sport. The Busch family’s 2025 calendar is already filling up, with Brexton slated to compete in marquee events like the Tulsa Shootout. Both Kyle and Brexton will be racing in Tulsa, giving fans another chance to watch this dynamic father-son duo in action.

Brexton’s success hasn’t gone unnoticed by the racing community, and fans have been pouring in their support online. From seasoned NASCAR followers to casual spectators, people are loving what they’re seeing from the young Busch. One fan gushed, “Definitely a champion and the way you have raised him to have chores and responsibilities and his kindness… definite champion.” Young Brexton’s maturity is already a massive talking point among fans. When he came last in his debut karting race, he came back from adversity, asking his parents to watch some films and then go back to practice.
Another joked, “Bro won almost half the races he was in😂😂keep it goin legend.” The fan referred to Brexton’s record this season. Out of the 136 Features he took part in, he won 48 races, very close to the halfway mark of 68 races. The comments section on Brexton’s Instagram post showcasing his 2024 stats is filled with admiration and excitement. “Congrats… you are a champ on and off the track. Mom and dad are doing a fantastic job with the way they are raising you! Keep working hard little man… @brextonbusch #18 might be on the side of your car but you are #1!!!” wrote one supporter.
Perhaps the most heartwarming reaction came from Kyle himself, who chimed in with, “Let’s get ’em in Tulsa👊🏻💪🏻.” Brexton’s performances have sparked conversations about whether he might one day eclipse even his dad’s achievements. Some fans think it’s inevitable, with one confidently stating, “He’s gonna be better than you, and you’re the GOAT!” Perhaps in the future, Brexton Busch can be the driver who snatches Kyle Busches win records in the Truck Series as well as in the Xfinity Series.
