CHATHAM CU, Ga. (WTOC) – Do you know of a mother in Chatham County who could use some extra support year round?
The Chatham County Health Department has several resources available to support new moms and caregivers.
Tuesday, event organizers hosted a baby shower to give away free necessities, educate and further promote their initiative.
Organizers said they understand the difficult demands of what it takes to raise a family.
“So I’ve been a single mother and especially during the holidays, times can really be financially hard and so we just wanna make sure that families are leaving here with diapers, sleep sacks. They’re leaving here with toys for their children, extra materials,” said Health Educator at the Chatham County Health Department, Katee Sykes.
Event organizers said they want moms around the Coastal Empire to know that they are supported on every side.
