Canadian, 71, faces charges for drone use at Cape Canaveral Space Force base – WJXT News4JAX

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – A 71-year-old Canadian citizen was accused of taking drone photos of “vital defense installations and equipment” at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, according to the State Attorney’s Office.
The SAO said Xia Guang Pan, of Canada, used a drone to take aerial pictures of space launch complexes, a payload processing facility, a submarine wharf and munitions bunkers.

This occurred on three separate days in January.
Pan was charged with three counts of using an unmanned aircraft to photograph vital defense installation and equipment without authorization.
The investigation is ongoing.
If convicted, Pan faces at least one year in prison.
