Record homelessness in U.S., up 18% in one year, 36% since pandemic with spikes among families, kids – Belgrade News

More than 771,000 people are homeless in the U.S, according to the results of a 2024 one-night count conducted by the federal government and housing groups.
That’s up more than 18% from 2023 and the number of homeless families is up 39.4% from 2023, according to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
